Who runs a crew plan
- Privacy The Privacy Policy explains how crew plans link to the event's maker and the requests to run a plan (section 4.9).
Error alerts and a clearable Halloween notice
- Site The site now spots its own errors, so problems get fixed without anyone having to report them. Nothing about you is kept with these reports (Privacy Policy 9.5).
- Site Security improvements.
Org Online for the Command Deck
- Privacy The Privacy Policy explains Org Online (section 4.13).
Smoother on tablets
- Themes Every theme scrolls smoothly on tablets, especially Origin, Esperia, Tumbril and Aopoa, which could feel sluggish on big touch screens.
- Themes Ion blue and Plasma red draw their stars more lightly, and pages with lots of panels, such as Home and Trade, draw faster on touch screens.
Security improvements
- Site Security improvements to logging in and out, and to accounts.
One menu section at a time, and the move to new hosting
- Site The side menu opens one section at a time, so it stays short.
- Site A proper "back soon" page during planned work. The site moved to its new hosting on 27 October, bringing versions 4.8 to 6.9 to obsidiansquad.org together.
Faster pages
- Site Pages load faster, and the Guides page only loads a guide's pictures when you open it.
- Data Hub Every Data Hub page says when its game data was last updated, in the same place.
Merch, a lighter Trade page and better accessibility
- Trade The Trade page loads much less data, so routes show sooner, especially on phones.
- Mining The Mining page data was rebuilt and checked, and the Mining Board finds ores from it.
- Site Every page starts on the same line, and a Skip to content link helps keyboard and screen reader users.
- Site FAQ answers and upcoming events can show straight in search results.
Downloads and the Executive Hangar Timer
- Data Hub Executive Hangar Timer: is the PYAM hangar open or closed, a countdown, and the next openings in your time zone.
- Loadout Builder Buy buttons go to the right shop listing again.
FAQ, RSI Status and one text editor
- FAQ The FAQ has folding sections and search, with answers kept up to date.
- Data Hub New RSI Status page, and a notice in the side menu while RSI has a problem.
- Site Lots of small consistency fixes across every page.
Mining page and step-by-step guides
- Mining New Mining page: where to find each ore, with the methods and quality.
- Guides Step-by-step guides for the Keybind Editor, Events and Battle Stations, to read on the page or download.
- Guides The Guides page keeps the list beside the guide you are reading.
Origin marble
- Themes The Origin theme is white marble with gold veins.
- Site Faster on slower phones and computers.
The Deep Space redesign
- Site A whole new look: the side menu (fold it to icons), a starfield, and a new Home page with "Did you know?" facts.
- Themes 16 ship maker themes, from Aegis to Tumbril, in the Theme menu.
- Keybind Editor My sticks (beta): pictures of your own sticks.
Keybind Editor
- Data Hub New Keybind Editor: open your layout file or start from the game defaults, change any control by pressing the key or button, and save it. Your file never leaves your browser.
FPS loadouts
- Loadout Builder New FPS tab (beta): build an armour and weapons kit, with weights, shops and a shopping list.
- Blueprints Blueprints show what they make, such as Size 3, Military, Grade A.
Ship pictures
- Ships Ship pictures fill in for ships that had none.
- Site Fixes and tidying.

- Loadout Builder Key stats show as chips on each part.
App mode and Getting started
- Site Add the site to your phone's home screen and it opens like an app, with the Guides readable offline.
